The Assyrian and Hebrew Hymns of Praise

The Assyrian and Hebrew Hymns of Praise, published in 1966 by Charles Gordon Cumming, is a scholarly analysis comparing ancient Assyrian hymns and Hebrew psalms. Cumming explores their literary styles, themes, and cultural significance, arguing that Hebrew psalms should be understood within a broader context of religious poetry across various ancient civilizations. The work emphasizes the incomplete preservation of these texts and aims to enhance appreciation for their spiritual expression and literary merit.
