The Annals of the Poor

The Annals of the Poor, written by Legh Richmond and first published in 1814, is a religious narrative that explores the lives of the impoverished through the lens of Christian faith. The story centers on Elizabeth, the Dairyman's daughter, who transforms from a life of worldly pleasures to one devoted to God, illustrated by her heartfelt letter to Reverend Richmond expressing concern for her sister's salvation. This work highlights themes of faith, providence, and the spiritual richness found among the poor, contrasting their struggles with worldly wealth.
