St. Joseph of Copertino

St. Joseph of Copertino
Written in 1753 by Rev. Angelo Pastrovicchi, 'St. Joseph of Copertino' is a biography of the Italian mystic and saint, who lived from 1603 to 1663. Known for his miraculous levitation and ecstatic visions, Joseph faced ridicule for his perceived lack of intelligence. Despite early rejection from the Conventual Franciscan friars due to his education, he eventually became a priest and was canonized in 1767, recognized as the Patron of Students and those who fly. This work draws from the Acta Sanctorum and official documents from his beatification process.
