Snowshoeing Song

Snowshoeing Song

Arthur Weir

Snowshoeing Song is a poem by Arthur Weir, featured in A Victorian Anthology, 1837–1895, edited by Edmund Clarence Stedman. Weir, a Montreal-born poet, gained recognition for his inaugural poems at national monuments in Canada, including those for Sir John Macdonald and Maisonneuve in 1895. This work reflects the themes of winter and outdoor adventure, capturing the spirit of snowshoeing in a lyrical format. The poem was recorded by LibriVox volunteers as part of their Fortnightly Poetry project in 2011.
