Sixty Years with Plymouth Church

Sixty Years with Plymouth Church, written by Stephen Morrell Griswold in the early 20th century, is a historical account of his experiences at Plymouth Church in Brooklyn, New York, under the leadership of pastor Henry Ward Beecher. The book chronicles Griswold's journey from rural New England to Brooklyn in 1851 and details the church's vibrant community, innovative services, and its role in social issues, particularly the abolitionist movement. Griswold's reflections provide insight into the significant events and the influence of Beecher on both the congregation and the broader religious landscape of the time.
