Short Poetry Collection 115
A window into one month in the life of a global poetry community. This collection gathers readings recorded in December 2012 by LibriVox volunteers, each person bringing their own voice, interpretation, and love for the written word. The poems range across centuries and styles, read by people in their own spaces, with all the warmth and imperfection that makes live reading feel like a gift. You'll hear different accents, different rhythms, different ways of holding a line. Some readers are seasoned; others are tentative, which only adds to the intimacy. What ties these recordings together is something harder to define: the impulse to share, to record, to preserve. It's poetry as conversation, not performance. Perfect for listeners who want to encounter familiar words in unfamiliar mouths, or who believe poetry sounds best when a real person is speaking directly to them.
