Short Poetry Collection 108
A snapshot of voices from around the world, gathered in one listening experience. This collection gathers poetry readings by LibriVox volunteers from May 2012, each reader bringing their own cadence and emotion to verses spanning centuries of the written word. Some readings are polished; many are beautifully imperfect. What unites them is generosity: strangers offering their time to keep poetry audible and alive. The poems range from the canonical to the lesser-known, read in home studios and quiet rooms, with all the warmth and intimacy that implies. There's no studio gloss here, no professional distance. Just human beings sharing language that moves them. For anyone who believes poetry is meant to be heard rather than only seen, this collection offers something rare: the living voice of readers who chose these words because they mattered.
