Short Poetry Collection 086
A patchwork of voices readings verse from across the ages. These volunteers, scattered across the globe, turned to poetry during the short, grey days of February 2010 and recorded what moved them. The result is less an anthology than a moment in time: different accents, different sensibilities, different poems chosen for different reasons. Some read the familiar masters. Others found obscure verses worth preserving. There's no curatorial hand here, no theme binding them together except the month they were recorded and the impulse to share. What emerges is something honest and uneven, like a stranger reading aloud to you in a quiet room.
