'Sacred' Kurral of Tiruvalluva-Nayanar
The 'Tirukkural', written over 2000 years ago by the sage Thiruvalluvar, is a foundational text of Tamil literature. This work consists of 1,330 couplets divided into three sections: virtue, wealth, and love, addressing various aspects of life and ethics. Rev. G.U. Pope's metric translation aims to faithfully convey the original's rhythm and meaning.
