Robin Hood (Dramatic Reading)
The legendary outlaw returns in this spirited theatrical rendering of the Robin Hood legend. When a grieving Knight and his beautiful daughter Marian arrive in Sherwood Forest desperate for aid, Robin Hood and his Merry Men see an opportunity to strike at the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham who has stripped the Knight of his lands and honor. But the Sheriff has allied with the sinister Baron of the Black Castle, who schemes to destroy Robin Hood forever. Robin's band of outlaws, including the formidable Little John and the steadfast Friar Tuck, must outwit their enemies while upholding their code: stealing from the rich to give to the poor. MacDonell's play captures the swashbuckling adventure, quick wit, and moral clarity that have made Robin Hood a figure of popular imagination for centuries.
