Reminiscences of a Soldier of the Orphan Brigade

Reminiscences of a Soldier of the Orphan Brigade, published in 1918 by Lot D. Young, is a personal narrative detailing the experiences of a Confederate soldier in the Civil War. Young recounts his journey from a naive recruit in Kentucky to a seasoned veteran, sharing stories of camaraderie, sacrifice, and the emotional toll of war. The work serves as both a tribute to the bravery of his fellow soldiers and a reflection on the parallels between the Civil War and the World War I era, to which he dedicates his memories.
