Poetical Works of Thomas Lovell Beddoes, Volume 1
The Poetical Works of Thomas Lovell Beddoes, Volume 1, features the English poet's collected poems, published posthumously in 1890. This volume includes works from 1851, previously unpublished poems, and miscellaneous pieces. Beddoes, known for his preoccupation with death and the search for evidence of an immortal soul, is often referred to as 'the last Elizabethan' by Lytton Strachey. His early verse drama, The Bride's Tragedy, received acclaim, but many of his later works remained unfinished.
