Poesias

Poesias, published in 1856 by A. A. Soares de Passos, is a collection of 19th-century Portuguese poetry that delves into themes of love, loss, nature, and the human condition. The poems reflect the poet's struggles and societal issues, often invoking a melancholic tone reminiscent of the celebrated poet Camões. Through emotional depth and a contemplative approach, Soares de Passos articulates the burdens of artistic creation and the poet's role in society, inviting readers to reflect on creativity and memory.
