Pirates of Panama

Pirates of Panama, originally written by John Esquemeling in Dutch and published in 1678, is a first-hand account of the Buccaneers of America. Esquemeling, who served as a barber-surgeon for the Buccaneers, provides an authentic narrative of their exploits, particularly focusing on Captain Morgan. The work has been translated into multiple languages, with the first English edition appearing in 1684. This edition aims to present the original text with minimal alterations, making it accessible for both juvenile and adult readers while preserving its historical significance.
