Persian Hidden Words
The Hidden Words, written by Bahá'u'lláh around 1857 in Baghdad, is a foundational text of the Bahá'í Faith. Comprising 82 short passages in Persian, it conveys essential spiritual truths in a direct and poetic manner, inviting readers to reflect on divine wisdom. The work is notable for its dual-language format, as it also includes 71 passages in Arabic, and has been influential in Bahá'í practice, with followers encouraged to read it daily. The Persian section was translated by Anton Haddad, later superseded by Shoghi Effendi's authorized translation.
