Paddington: Past and Present

Paddington: Past and Present, written by William Robins and first published in 1853, is a historical account that examines the transformation of Paddington from a rural village to a significant area of London. Robins emphasizes the importance of local history and its lessons for contemporary residents, highlighting how historical events have shaped the community. He critiques the obscuring of truths in historical narratives and aims to inform Paddington's inhabitants about their rights and the social changes they have experienced.
