Oriental Religions and Christianity: A Course of Lectures Delivered on the Ely Foundation Before The: Students of Union Theological Seminary, New York, 1891

Published in 1891, 'Oriental Religions and Christianity' by Frank F. Ellinwood is a series of lectures that explores the relationships between Christianity and major Eastern religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. Ellinwood argues for the importance of understanding these faiths to enhance missionary efforts and correct misconceptions about both Eastern religions and Christianity. The text serves as a call to engage thoughtfully with non-Christian religions, asserting that such knowledge can deepen one's understanding of Christian teachings.
