Bentley, 1873 The first series was pub. in 1833, simultaneously in Philadelphia under title "Memoranda of a residence at the court of London," and London under title "Narrative of a residence ... " The 2d ed. of this series, revised and enlarged, appeared the same year both in London and Philadelphia (cf. Sabin and preface to 3d ed.) The 3d ed. pub. under title "Residence at the court of London ... " was ed. by the author's son, B. Rush, London and Philadelphia, 1872
