A collection of voices from around the world, each one personal, particular, unrepeatable. In this anthology, LibriVox volunteers step away from the texts they've narrated to become the authors themselves, sharing the specific landscapes of their lives: the neighborhoods, languages, and traditions that shaped them. These aren't polished memoirs from professional writers but genuine stories told by people reading aloud in bedrooms and closets, their recordings made with whatever microphone they could find. The collection captures something that major publishing rarely offers: ordinary people documenting their own existence, their particular corner of the world, the specific ways they carry history forward.
