Les Touâreg Du Nord

Les Touâreg Du Nord, published in 1864 by Henri Duveyrier, is a scientific monograph that combines exploration, geography, and ethnography. It documents Duveyrier's extensive journey through the Sahara, focusing on the northern Tuareg tribes, particularly the Azdjer and Ahaggar confederations. The work serves as both a field report and a foundational study, detailing the physical geography, natural history, and social structures of the region, while also addressing the challenges faced during the expedition. It is notable for its rigorous mapping and comprehensive analysis of the Sahara's environment and its peoples.
