Lady's Museum, Volume 1
Lady's Museum, Volume 1, published between 1760 and 1761, is a pioneering work largely attributed to Charlotte Lennox, known for her earlier novel, The Female Quixote. This publication consists of 11 issues that combine various forms of media, including science, satire, poetry, and educational treatises. Notably, it features the first serialized novel, The History of Harriot and Sophia, which Lennox later expanded into her novel, Sophia. The work is significant for its role in educating and informing its readership during the 18th century.
