John H. Eagleston Autobiography, 1857-1858.

The autobiography of John H. Eagleston, Salem ship master, is a continuation of "My ups and downs through life." It describes the 1857-1858 voyage aboard the bark Edward Koppisch from Shanghai to Cambodia, Thailand and other Chinese ports, and Chinese customs like footbinding, opium smoking, etc. Includes a list of letters which Eagleston sent to his family.
