In the Royal Naval Air Service: Being the War Letters of the Late Harold Rosher to His Family is a collection of personal letters written by Flight Lieutenant Harold Rosher during World War I, first published in 1916. The letters, penned between August 1914 and February 1916, detail his experiences in the Royal Naval Air Service, including training, missions, and the challenges faced by airmen. This significant historical account offers insight into the daily life of a soldier in the newly established air service, culminating in Rosher's tragic death at age 22 during a test flight. The unfiltered nature of his correspondence provides a vivid portrayal of the war's realities and the evolution of aerial operations.
