Graded Memory Selections

Graded Memory Selections is an early 20th-century anthology of children's poetry and literary excerpts, compiled for educational use by superintendents from Berkeley, Oakland, and Alameda. The collection is structured by grade level and aims to instill moral values and an appreciation for literature among young students. It features a range of themes, including childhood, nature, and morality, and emphasizes the importance of meaningful literary works in nurturing children's moral and aesthetic sensibilities. This resource supports language development and expression from primary grades to high school.
