Fables

Fables, written by Sir Ross Ronald and first published in 1907, is a collection of humorous poetic tales created between 1880 and 1890 while the author was in India. The book features allegorical narratives that explore themes of morality, truth, and human nature through whimsical characters, often anthropomorphized animals. Each fable conveys a moral lesson, such as 'The Frog, the Fairy, and the Moon,' which addresses unrequited love, and 'The Man, the Lion, and the Fly,' highlighting the futility of ignoring small irritations. Ross's vivid imagery and lyrical language provide both entertainment and profound insights into virtues and vices.
