Epoden und Oden

Epoden und Oden, published in 1893, features the works of Quintus Horatius Flaccus, a prominent Roman poet of the Augustan era. The collection includes 17 Epodes, characterized by alternating long and short verses, and the Odes, comprising 104 poems written between 23 and 13 BC. Horace's themes encompass love, politics, friendship, daily life, and philosophical inquiries, reflecting the literary traditions of both Roman and Greek poetry. This edition also separately lists the secular hymns not included in the Odes.
