Early Candlelight Stories

Early Candlelight Stories, written by Stella C. Shetter and first published in 1922, is a collection of 17 children's stories centered around family life and childhood adventures. The narratives feature siblings Bobby, Alice, and Pink, who gather around their grandmother as she shares her childhood memories, emphasizing themes of honesty, kindness, and hard work. Enhanced by illustrations from Dorothy Lake Gregory, this anthology captures the warmth of storytelling and the innocence of a bygone era, making it suitable for read-aloud sessions and educational purposes.
