Coniston Tales
Coniston Tales is a collection of poems and short prose by William Gershom Collingwood, published in the early 20th century. The works are inspired by the landscape, history, and legends of Coniston in the English Lake District. Collingwood, who abandoned a promising academic career to serve as John Ruskin's personal secretary, first published these pieces in a family magazine called 'Nothing Much,' which he edited with his children. This collection reflects the self-sufficient spirit of their community.
