Chandogya Upanishad

Chandogya Upanishad
The Chandogya Upanishad, one of the oldest Upanishads dating back to the Brahmana period (before the 8th century BC), is part of the Sama-veda and ranks as number 9 in the Muktika canon of 108 Upanishads. It consists of ten Prapathakas, with the first two focusing on sacrifices and worship, while the remaining eight explore philosophical concepts. Notably, it is considered a fundamental text in Vedanta philosophy and has influenced thinkers like Arthur Schopenhauer, who praised it as a pinnacle of human wisdom.
