Ceiriog

Ceiriog is a collection of lyrical poetry and songs by Welsh poet John Ceiriog Hughes, first published in 1927. The work reflects Hughes' deep affection for the landscapes and cultural heritage of Wales, drawing on his experiences growing up in the Berwyn mountains. Themes of nostalgia, love for Wales, and the emotional impact of nature permeate the verses, showcasing both personal and national pride. Hughes is often compared to Robert Burns for his contributions to Welsh poetry and folk music.
