Briarwood Girls

Alison Fair's dreams of education crumble when money runs out after her freshman year at Briarwood College. An unexpected inheritance, a beautiful lamp, gives her a second chance, but returning to campus means navigating new challenges: a rebellious roommate named Marcia who defies every rule, mysterious missing items that unsettle the dormitory, and the delicate politics of young women competing in academic contests and social hierarchies. As Alison fights to belong and to help her friends, the lamp becomes more than an object: it's a symbol of hope when the future feels uncertain. This is a story about the alliances we form in youth, the disappointments that shape us, and the small lights that pull us through darkness.
