Amateur

Published in 1896, 'Amateur' by Richard Harding Davis follows Austin Ford, a specialist in finding people, who meets a young woman on a steamer to London. She is searching for her missing husband, and Ford agrees to assist her, but he soon suspects that her story may not be entirely truthful. This novella explores themes of deception and the complexities of human relationships.
