This is Advent reimagined as audio: twenty-four recordings, one for each day of December, weaving together the magic of Christmas, the hush of winter, and the quiet wonder of the season. The collection draws from German literary tradition, including a richly voiced excerpt from August Kopisch's beloved fairy tale 'Peterchens Mondfahrt' (Peterchen's Moon Flight), performed by a small ensemble of LibriVox volunteers who bring the story's cast of characters to charming life. The narrators range from solo readers to shared performances, each recording a small act of generosity from a global community of volunteers. What emerges is not a polished production but something warmer: the sound of people gathered around a shared love of story and tradition. For German speakers, it's a daily companion through December. For learners of the language, it's an intimate window into how Germans have celebrated the weeks before Christmas for generations.
