Adventskalender 2016

This is an Advent calendar for your ears: twenty-four recordings, one for each day from December 1 through Christmas Eve. The collection gathers short stories about Christmas and winter, plus carols and seasonal verses, performed by a warm community of volunteer readers from LibriVox. The final entry on December 24 is the beloved "Stille Nacht" (Silent Night) sung by multiple voices with piano accompaniment, a quiet miracle of amateur hearts. What makes this work is its simplicity and generosity: each day offers a small, spoken gift, a few minutes of holiday atmosphere to punctuate the countdown. The readings vary in language and style, some solemn, some playful, but all carried by the genuine joy of people sharing something they love. This is not polished commercial production but something better: the sound of a community making Christmas for each other, one day at a time.
