A New Bat (genus Myotis) from Mexico

A New Bat (genus Myotis) from Mexico is a mid-20th century scientific publication by Walter Woelber Dalquest that details the discovery and classification of a new bat species, Myotis argentatus, found near the Rio Coatzacoalcos. The work outlines the physical characteristics that distinguish this species from others in the Myotis genus, particularly Myotis albescens, focusing on variations in skull structure, body size, and fur coloration. This publication contributes significantly to the understanding of bat diversity in Mexico and serves as a foundational text for future research in chiropterology.
