A Christmas Snowflake: A Rhyme for Children

A tender verse narrative from the early 20th century, told through the eyes of a single snowflake who watches the world below with longing. The little flake sees children grieving as Christmas approaches without snow, their bare ground a sorrowful sight. Moved by their sadness, this brave small creature rallies others, convincing reluctant flakes to descend from the sky and blanket the earth in white. The story unfolds in gentle rhyme, building toward a transformation: bare fields become winter wonderland, and the snowflakes' gift allows Santa to complete his journey. What distinguishes this book is its childlike empathy and its quiet message that even the smallest creature can bring joy through courage and compassion. Perfect for reading aloud on a cold evening, it captures the magic of believing that something small can matter enormously.
