A Brief Account of the Educational Publishing Business in the United States

''A Brief Account of the Educational Publishing Business in the United States'' by William Edmond Pulsifer, published in 1921, chronicles the history and evolution of educational publishing in America. It traces the development of early textbooks from ''The New England Primer'' in 1691 to modern advancements in textbook production and content. The book highlights key figures and events that shaped educational literature, contrasting archaic schoolbooks with contemporary materials. Pulsifer calls for further scholarship to comprehensively document this significant aspect of American educational history.
