Tyler Cowen

Tyler Cowen is an American economist, professor at George Mason University, and General Director of the Mercatus Center. He co-founded the influential economics blog Marginal Revolution with Alex Tabarrok in 2003 and hosts the interview series Conversations with Tyler. A Bloomberg Opinion columnist and the author of numerous books including The Great Stagnation, Average Is Over, Stubborn Attachments, and The Marginal Revolution, Cowen is recognized as one of the most prominent public intellectuals in economics. His work bridges academic economics with cultural commentary, covering topics from technological stagnation to the future of AI. He earned his PhD from Harvard University.
