Robert Falcon Scott

Captain Robert Falcon Scott was a British Royal Navy officer and renowned Antarctic explorer whose expeditions significantly advanced the understanding of the polar regions. He first gained fame during the Discovery expedition from 1901 to 1904, where he set a new southern record by reaching latitude 82°S and discovered the Antarctic Plateau, the site of the South Pole.
