Esmie is excited about her dad's new girlfriend, Lizzie, who is so nice Esmie sometimes forgets about her real mother, who died when she was a baby. But then Lizzie starts behaving strangely, and Esmie wonders if she could be about to lose her second mum, before she's even got to know her. First person recount.
