In western Nebraska, what starts as a group of teens filming their drug-fueled party ends explosively, leaving victims apparently electrocuted with odd scorch marks. As Special Agent Maggie O'Dell sorts reality from hallucination in their stories, she realizes that the survivors are being eliminated. On the East Coast, her partner R.J. Tully and Army colonel Ben Platt investigate a deadly pathogen outbreak - a case that will soon collide with hers.
