U.S. restitution of Nazi-looted cultural treasures to the USSR, 1945-1959

A compilation of documents establishing the transfer of art works, archives, and other cultural artifacts seized by the Nazis during World War II and returned by the United States to the Soviet Union in the years 1945-1959. Also included are black and white photographs and a discussion of the issues of American restitution of cultural artifacts and the demands of other European countries for the restitution of cultural artifacts from the Russian Federation which had been held by the Soviet Union.
