Since it shows beautiful examples of pottery by many famous potters, it gives you a world of ideas - and it mentiones all the pitfalls that the beginner will encounter! There is so much humor in between the lines, which will make you chuckle, as you stumble through the beginnings of your "art"! This book is a true companion - clearly laid out and therefore very helpful for reference of any aspect of pottery. If I could find out Mr. Birks' address he would surely often have rceived my fan mail.
