Meet Fred Reitlinger, a professor of archaeology, his wife Nora, and her lover, Arnie, with his suspicious mate, Marta, Gerry and Leopold (favorite students of the professor's, both of whom hope to be awarded the same lucrative job soon), and their girlfriends, who have problems of their own, Alisha (Fred and Nora's daughter, still unsure of her sexuality, and besotted with a fellow student who works as a call-girl), and Ansger (Fred and Nora's son, who has just collapsed an enormous start-up and has disappeared).
