Extracts include descriptions of La Jolla; Injun Summer on the Ohio River; U.S. Highways; Postcards.The writer was experimenting with PROSE POETRY. Examples include TREES; ENSENADA;WHERE ARE THEY GONE, THE WALTZ, OF AGO; FROM A CONCERT AT CAL TEC (Schubert Octetin F Major, Op 166). The Artist Xara Papatheodorou sought to express the graphics in terms of the verse, thus: FLOWER - the girl is illustrated in the "garden of tenderness where flowers are for everyone"; SAINTS are pictured in terms of an old fisherman and Byzantine saint; RAIN STATES illustrate the inside and outside of a room while rain drops fall. The three POEMS FOR CHILDREN are titled: FOR MY NEPHEW; LITTLE CANADIANS; BED TIME.
