This work consists almost entirely of frescoes and panel paintings depicting Biblical or religious themes. The catalogue includes 26 paintings of the artist and 21 further works either lost or destroyed. A list of works wrongly attributed to Ghirlandaio is included. The catalogue is accompanied by 322 black and white illustrations and 8 color plates.
