When the night begins

Jane, recently widowed, wealthy, and determined to avenge her brutal upbringing, returns to confront her abusive step-father. Isolated in a room above the city, their disturbing, sexually charged encounter heads inexorably towards violence as they struggle to come to terms with their different versions of the past in this harrowing thriller. 'When the Night Begins' was first performed at the Hampstead Theatre, London in March 2004.
