Rescate del teatro tradicional mexicano

Presents six traditional Christmas-themed pageants developed by long-standing traditional theater group. Opening chapters describe history of group, playwright and director Miguel Sabido's background and his motivation for creating work. Plays, which, in keeping with genre combine broad comedy with religious sentiment, are: Sor Juanita y su abuelo, El ermitaño.com, Pastorela del panzon Barttolo; Tacha, Nacha y Cucaracha; Pastorela de la esperanza; and Pastorela de la fraternidad.
