With booklabel of Michael Sadleir and, in the first volume, a card in his hand laid in, noting that on 3 July 1934 ‘this book was given to me by John Carter and Graham Pollard [...] as a gesture in return for the publication of their remarkable “Enquiry into the Nature of Certain xix Century Pamphlets.”’ This note is available in MS 580 in JHU’s Special Collections. Booklabel of Arthur Freeman.
