A Tangle of Fate

When Mirren was born, a terrible omen and curse settled on her chest and has threatened her with death all her living days slowly destroying her heart, and ruining those who love and fear for her. When her heart begins to fail, and Death draws near, Mirren curses the one she believes cursed her – Fate himself – and her magic demands that he intimately learn what it feels like to have a human heart, to live and love and have it all stripped away. She didn’t think her magic was strong enough to bind him. She was wrong, because he finds her on the most magical evening of all and demands that she set him free, explaining that the repercussions of his absence have far-reaching and potentially devastating effects that she can’t even comprehend. When she tries to remove his curse, she nearly dies and the two realize that they must work together with the help of some fellow witches, to figure out how to free Fate, and save Mirren’s life.
